About Classic Car Hub
Classic Car Hub has been around since the early 2000s. Back then, finding decent information about your classic online meant trawling forums and hoping for the best. Not a lot has changed, which is probably why the site is still here.
Classic Car Hub is written and maintained by Aaron Dixon, who has spent the last 18+ years working on mostly MG and Triumph cars, since buying a Mallard Green 1972 Mk3 round-wheel-arch MG Midget and starting the site. I have hands on experience with everything from stripping back to chassis, ongoing mechanical and electrical work and upgrades, and the ordinary routine maintenance that keeps a classic actually usable rather than a garage ornament.
Alongside that, Aaron works in engineering, and a lot of what shows up in that day job carries straight over into classic car work: a methodical approach to fault finding, checking assumptions before reaching for a spanner, and not guessing at a diagnosis when it can be tested properly.
Aaron has also been a member of local classic car clubs for years, including a period on committee.
The goal of this site is straightforward: write the kind of guide that would have saved time on a real job, not generic advice. Paint codes, part numbers, and procedures are cross-checked against genuine reference sources and real restoration experience before they’re published.
